Train for the life you moved here for.
Nobody wakes up wanting to lift weights. You want what strength buys you. And around here, it buys a lot.
Hike Mount Pisgah again
Summit steps, steep descents, knees that don’t complain on the way down.
Stay on the pickleball court
Shoulders, balance, quick feet: the things that keep you playing, not spectating.
Garden season, without the sore back
Kneel, lift, carry, repeat, from the first mulch bag to the last tomato.
Keep up with the grandkids
On the trail, on the floor, and back up again without a second thought.
IT’S NEVER TOO LATE
The science is on your side.
After 50, adults lose muscle roughly twice as fast as in their 30s, unless they train against it. The research on training later in life is remarkably good news.

WHY WE BUILT PEAKFIT.
It started with a diagnosis.
In 2020, founder Katja Raab was diagnosed with breast cancer. She chose a double mastectomy, and then she chose something else: to put her faith in the power of fitness and nutrition to rebuild her body and her life.
PEAKFIT. Is what she built from that experience. A quiet, private space where real people do the hard, meaningful work of getting stronger, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Nobody here will hand you a generic program, because Katja knows firsthand: when your body has been through something, the work has to fit you.
“Cancer taught me that movement is medicine, food is fuel, and recovery is everything.”

Real people. Real strength.
“I look forward to every session. The coaches are terrific — they know my history, they watch every rep, and they adjust on the spot. I feel stronger and steadier than I have in years.”
Judy Phillips · Verified Google Review
“It has been the most positive experience and I have gotten so much stronger. I am 64 and did not feel confident in my balance or strength. After only three months I feel like a new woman.”
Stephanie Wright · Verified Google Review
“I've worked out on and off for years, but training at PEAKFIT. Studio with Alex is on a whole different level. For the first time I have a coach who guides me through every single movement and explains the why behind it. I'm stronger, more confident, and actually look forward to my workouts. Who knew?”

Honest answers
You're probably wondering…
I haven't exercised in years. Can I really start now?
Yes, most of our members walked in the same way. One client hadn't worked out in five years; another started at 82. Your program begins exactly where your body is today, and progresses at your pace.
I have injuries and joint pain. Is this safe for me?
This is precisely what we're built for. Our team includes a corrective exercise and mobility specialist, and our philosophy is simple: move better first, get stronger second. Every program is designed around your health history, and we're happy to coordinate with your doctor or physical therapist.
Do I need to get in shape before I come in?
No. That's the crowded-gym thinking we exist to replace. There's no one to keep up with here. You train in a private station with a coach whose only job is meeting your body where it is.
What does it cost?
It depends on the format: private 1:1, small-group (roughly a third of the 1:1 price), nutrition, or a combination. At your free consultation we'll talk through your goals and find the option that fits. The consultation itself costs nothing.
Where are you, and when can I come in?
100 Julian Ln, Suite 120, Arden, NC, minutes from Biltmore Park, and an easy drive from Asheville, Hendersonville, and Fletcher. We're open Monday-Friday 6am to 8pm, Saturday 8am to 6pm, and Sunday by appointment. Call (828) 620-7020 anytime.
